- 40+ years of statistical consulting
- Developed Bayesian methods for sugarcane breeding
- Contributed to alcohol policy and mosquito net efficacy studies
Research Interests span biostatistical methods for epidemiology, agricultural data analysis, and reproducible workflows. He specializes in:
- Statistical computing (R, Make, Git)
- Propensity score analysis for observational studies
- Bayesian modeling in medical contexts
- Crop modeling with weather data
- Birthweight and maternal environmental factors
- Development of bespoke statistical software
Supervision includes advisory roles for PhD projects on crop modeling, epidemiological methods, and medical statistics. Current collaborations involve Professor Graeme Hammer and Professor Peter Sly.
