Peter Adler is a Research Associate at the Institute for Sociocultural Development within the Lucerne School of Social Work at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), a position he has held since 2025.
His educational background includes a Master of Arts in Changing Societies: Migration – Conflicts – Resources from the University of Basel (2025) and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (Ethnology and Modern History) from the University of Zurich (2020).
Adler's research focuses on Migration Studies and Social Conflicts, with specialized expertise in Nuclear Waste Governance evidenced by his essay on Swiss nuclear waste policy. His work extends to Employment and Entrepreneurship Coaching in Global South contexts and Cultural Empowerment through arts initiatives, addressing societal challenges via community engagement and empirical fieldwork.
He has contributed to multiple research projects including resistance movements against radioactive waste repositories in Switzerland and international coaching programs for employment in Morocco and El Salvador.
Adler maintains active community involvement through ClimbAID in Zurich, co-leading climbing training for adolescent asylum seekers since 2021.
