Peter Acker is a Clinical Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He holds an MD and MPH from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Chicago, where he served as chief resident. He furthered his expertise with a fellowship in International Emergency Medicine at Stanford.
Research Interests: His work focuses on optimizing emergency referral systems in resource-limited settings through health system data analysis and technology integration. Key areas include maternal and child health, global emergency care infrastructure, and prehospital care systems across South/Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
