Peter A. Bobbert

Peter A. Bobbert is Full Professor in the Molecular Materials and Nanosystems group at Eindhoven University of Technology. He serves as Associate Scientific Director of the Center for Computational Energy Research (CCER), which he helped establish.

Research focuses on:

• Theoretical modeling of organic/perovskite photovoltaics
• Charge transport in disordered systems
• Spin dynamics in organic spintronics
• Nanowire thermoelectrics

Publications demonstrate expertise in multiscale modeling of electronic devices, particularly OLEDs, OFETs, and perovskite solar cells. His group develops simulation frameworks bridging quantum mechanics to macroscopic performance.

He co-developed organic device modeling software commercialized by Simbeyond and co-founded the company. Education includes MSc and PhD from Leiden University in Theoretical Physics. Current work explores light-induced degradation mechanisms in perovskites and design rules for stable organic electronics.
