Persephone Braham is a Professor of Spanish and Latin American & Iberian Studies at the University of Delaware's College of Arts & Sciences, within the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures. She previously taught at Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on monstrosity in Latin America, Latin American film, urban space, gender/sexuality studies, detective fiction, and Caribbean literature. She holds a PhD in Spanish from UPenn and a BA in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University.
