Perry Biddiscombe

Perry Biddiscombe is Professor of History at the University of Victoria, specializing in modern European political, social, and military history. His research examines ideology, guerrilla warfare, and political symbolism in 20th-century Europe.

Publications include books on Nazi guerrilla movements (Werwolf!) and postwar denazification in Germany. His most recent articles explore UN symbolism development and Nazi operations in the Middle East during WWII.

At UVic, Biddiscombe teaches courses on World History, Interwar Europe, WWII, and European historiography. He has supervised numerous graduate theses on topics ranging from Nazi ideology to Irish fascism.
