Pernille Heyckendorff Secher is an Associate Professor in Nursing Science at the Department of Health Science and Technology, Aalborg University (Faculty of Medicine). She holds a PhD in Medical Informatics and has expertise in telemedicine, digital health technologies, and chronic disease management. Her research focuses on co-creating telehealth solutions to empower patients and improve healthcare efficiency. She is also involved in pedagogical innovation, particularly integrating blended learning and problem-based learning (PBL) in health education using digital tools like virtual reality and podcasts.
