Pere-Joan Giralt

Pere-Joan Giralt is a Research Professor at the Faculty of Social Education and Social Work of Ramon Llull University, where he coordinates the spirituality area. He is actively involved in the GIAS research group. His professional journey includes roles such as Technician at the General Secretariat of Youth, Educator at a juvenile justice center under the Generalitat de Catalunya, and leadership positions in the Movement of Christian Leisure Centers, Pau i Treva Center, and the Pere Tarrés Foundation.

His research interests include:

He has published extensively on cultural diversity, educational leisure, and community integration, particularly in vulnerable contexts. His recent publications highlight the role of socio-educational centers in promoting social cohesion, family engagement in cultural diversity management, and the impact of policy frameworks like the Organic Law on Comprehensive Protection of Children and Adolescents Against Violence.

His work is also reflected in the University and Socio-Educational Action Collection, contributing to academic discourse and professional training in social education. He has been involved in the 1st International Congress of Educational Leisure and Sociocultural Action, contributing to the development of methodologies and practices in the field.
