Matjaž Perc is a Full Professor of Physics at the University of Maribor and holds leadership roles including Vice Dean of Natural Sciences at the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. His research focuses on complex systems, nonlinear dynamics, and socio-physical phenomena. He has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Young Scientist Award for Socio- and Econophysics (2015) and the Zois Award (2018), Slovenia's highest national research honor. Perc is also a Fellow of the American Physical Society and among the world's top 1% most cited physicists.
