Pentti Kuurola serves as a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Technology, University of Oulu, affiliated with both the Healthy Buildings Research Group and Good Indoor Air and Building Health research group.
His expertise centers on indoor air real-time quality monitoring, leveraging over 20 years of professional experience in HVAC (LVIAJ) design assignments. Current research initiatives include the InChildHealth project investigating indoor air quality determinants and health impacts in children's environments, and spatial-temporal modeling of infectious disease transmission in educational and care facilities.
Research interests prioritize Indoor Air Quality and HVAC Systems, extending to Building Health optimization, Environmental Health implications, and Infectious Disease Modeling in built environments.
