Penko Gospodinov

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Penko Gospodinov serves as Vice-Rector and Associate Professor at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA), leading the specialty in 'Acting for Dramatic Theater'. He has been a lecturer since 2009 and head of his department since 2016. Born on 09.10.1970 in St. Zagora, he graduated from NATFA in 1995 under Prof. D. Gyurova and Prof. Pl. Markov. With over 70 roles in theater, cinema, and TV, he is a prominent figure in Bulgarian performing arts.

His teaching focuses on classical and contemporary acting techniques, with notable student productions including 'Romeo and Juliet' (2018) and 'Don Juan Tenorio' (2019). He actively participates in international festivals like ITSelF in Warsaw and leads the troupe at MGT 'Zad Kanala' since 2006. His awards include 'Best Actor' accolades from global film festivals, reflecting his impact on stage and screen.
