Peng Xiong

Dr. Peng Xiong is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Analytics and Operations at the NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. He holds a joint appointment as Senior Research Fellow at the Specialty Research Institutes/Centers (IORA), Singapore since January 2022. His academic roles also include teaching responsibilities in programming for business analytics and artificial intelligence applications in human resources.

His research focuses on optimization methodologies, including robust optimization, stochastic modeling, and decision analysis with applications in energy systems and operations research. Notable contributions include developing the RSOME Python package for robust stochastic optimization, advancing unit commitment strategies under renewable energy uncertainty, and exploring pricing/production frameworks with information partitioning.

Teaching interests span DAO2702/DAO2702X (Programming for Business Analytics), BMK5202 (Python Programming for Business Analytics), and BMH5104 (Artificial Intelligence for HR). His work bridges theoretical optimization advancements with practical software implementations, particularly in energy and business analytics domains.
