Peng Gong is Chair Professor of Global Sustainability and Vice-President at the University of Hong Kong, and Professor Emeritus at UC Berkeley. His research employs remote sensing and GIS to monitor natural resources, urbanization, and climate change impacts. Recent publications analyze cropland dynamics, health-climate interactions, and urban expansion. Awards include the Carl-Gustaf Rossby Medal and Fellowship in the Royal Society.
