Penelope Vergou

Dr. Penelope Vergou serves as Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly. She holds a Master's in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Athens and a BA from Panteion University, and is currently a PhD candidate in Urban Planning at the University of Thessaly. Her research examines social segregation, urban inequalities, and refugee integration dynamics, with collaborations at the National Center for Social Research and Panteion University.

Her work focuses on socio-spatial disparities in education and housing, particularly in Greek urban contexts. Key themes include:

• Urban welfare transformations in Southern Europe
