Peihao Huang is an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Quantum Engineering, College of Science, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China. He joined SUSTech in 2018 after completing postdoctoral positions at the University at Buffalo, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and University of Maryland.

Dr. Huang's research focuses on solid-state quantum computing and condensed matter physics theory, particularly quantum properties in nanostructures. His work encompasses semiconductor quantum computing, quantum simulation, and quantum dissipative dynamics. He has made significant contributions to understanding spin relaxation mechanisms in quantum dots, valley physics in silicon, and developing theoretical frameworks for scalable quantum computing architectures. His research has predicted several important physical effects including valley phase effects, spin relaxation cold spots, and spin-photon strong coupling mechanisms that have advanced the field of solid-state quantum computing.
Dr. Huang's publication record shows consistent contributions to quantum decoherence mechanisms and spin dynamics in semiconductor nanostructures. Several of his theoretical predictions, such as the nuclear noise suppression effect of flying spin bits and the spin relaxation effect of low-frequency electrical noise, have been experimentally verified, demonstrating the practical relevance of his work.
