Peggy Azuyak is an Adjunct Professor in Alaska Native Studies with active roles in academia and education. She serves as a volunteer distance mentor through the Alutiiq Studies and Student Support Project, offering mentoring, tutoring, and advising via Skype by appointment. She is also a full-time Secondary and Alutiiq Language teacher at the Old Harbor School within the Kodiak Island Borough School District.

Her research and professional focus lies in Indigenous language preservation, particularly the Alutiiq language, as well as Applied Linguistics and technology-driven language pedagogy. She is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks through the Computer Assisted Language Learning program.
