Pedro Marques-Quinteiro

Pedro Marques-Quinteiro is an Associate Professor at the School of Economic Sciences and Organizations (ECEO, Universidade Lusófona). He holds a PhD in Human Resources Management and Development from ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa and has published over 20 Q1/Q2 SCOPUS papers on leadership and teamwork in extreme environments (healthcare, firefighting, polar regions, space) and complex adaptive systems. He has secured grants from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (€53,640), the Portuguese Polar Program (€4,000 + Antarctic support), the Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research ($10,000), and the European Space Agency (€41,700).

His work extends to Brazilian pandemic studies, virtual teamwork, and psychological contract analysis in family firms.

Scientific awards include grants from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, Polar Program projects, and leadership roles in ESA-funded research. He has led two Antarctic expeditions and advised master’s theses on topics ranging from healthcare emotion regulation to football youth development.
