معرفی
Payam Dadvand is a leading researcher in environmental epidemiology with a focus on maternal and child health. He is the coordinator of the Barcelona Life Study Cohort (BiSC) and co-editor-in-chief of Environmental Research. His work integrates remote sensing, GIS, and spatiotemporal modeling to study environmental stressors and benefits such as air pollution and green spaces.
Research Interests: His research spans air pollution, green spaces, UVR, climate change, and maternal and child health. He investigates how environmental factors influence neurodevelopment, respiratory outcomes, and epigenetic mechanisms. His work is central to understanding the exposome—the totality of environmental exposures across the lifespan.
The recent publications (2024–2025) reflect a strong focus on urban environmental health, with an emphasis on green space benefits, air pollution impacts on fetal and child development, epigenetic changes, and mental health. Many studies use large European cohorts and advanced exposure assessment methods, indicating a trend toward integrative, data-rich environmental epidemiology.
