Paweł Boniecki

Paweł Boniecki is an Assistant Professor (Polish: asystent) at the Faculty of Christian Philosophy, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW). He conducts research at the intersection of biological sciences, environmental science and applied ecology.

Research Interests

Dr Boniecki’s work addresses four major domains:

• Soil biology – investigating forest soil mesofauna, colonization dynamics and anthropogenic disturbances;
• Herpetology and behavioural ecology – studying amphibian and reptile biology, dispersal patterns and responses to habitat change;
• Avian migration and ornithology – monitoring migratory birds, with particular attention to arrival phenology in Arctic and Boreal regions;
• Human–animal interactions – exploring synanthropization, domestication and the biology of companion animals, including cynology.

These strands converge on a broader concern for environmental protection and the assessment of anthropogenic impacts on both wildlife and soil ecosystems.

Publications & Impact

Across 35 documented publications, Boniecki’s scholarly output has achieved an h-index of 4 in both Scopus and Web of Science, with a cumulative SNIP of 12.19 and a national ministerial score of 855. His work is indexed in ORCID, Scopus, Crossref and EuropePMC, reflecting consistent contributions to biological and environmental sciences.
