Paulo Ravecca is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Saint Mary’s University (SMU), Faculty of Arts. He joined SMU in 2023 after teaching at Universidad de la República in Uruguay. His academic work critically examines intersections of power, knowledge, and subjectivity through Marxist, psychoanalytic, poststructuralist, and decolonial frameworks. He is editor of the Journal of Narrative Politics and former Chair of the International Political Science Association’s Research Committee 33. Ravecca’s research challenges conventional political science narratives, emphasizing how knowledge perpetuates power structures.

He advocates for interdisciplinary collaboration and pedagogical innovation in academia.
