Paulina Contreras Correa

Paulina Contreras Correa is a Lecturer and Research Director at the School of Design of the University of Development (UDD). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design and a Master's in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad del Bío Bío, as well as a Master's in Marketing and Commercial Management from ESIC Business & Marketing School in Spain.

Her research focuses on two primary lines: (1) Interdisciplinary Innovation through design education methodologies and applied creativity, and (2) New Materials Development, notably creating antibacterial paper using cellulose and copper with national and international patent applications. She collaborates with UDD's Technological Transfer Office (iCono) to manage intellectual property protections and knowledge dissemination.

Scientific awards and recognitions include:

She has participated in international events across Italy, Spain, India, Germany, and the United States, and serves as Chile's representative for the International Child Art Foundation (ICAF).
