Paula Outón Oviedo

Paula Outón Oviedo is a contracted lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics within the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her research focuses on dyslexia intervention, reading fluency development, and educational assessment methods, particularly for primary and secondary education. She leads the ESCOLCA research group and collaborates with the GIE Interuniversity Study Group.

Her academic career spans over two decades of developing diagnostic tools like the Bangor Dyslexia Test adaptations for Romance languages and creating standardized assessments for primary education writing skills. Recent publications emphasize cross-linguistic educational strategies, teacher training frameworks, and psychopedagogical resource integration in university settings.

Currently, she investigates ADHD misconceptions among future educators and democratic education models inspired by Dewey's philosophy. Her work bridges special education, social education, and curriculum innovation through empirical studies and large-scale intervention programs.
