Paula Lienesch

Paula Lienesch serves as an Early Stage Researcher at the Institute for Medical Information Processing, Biometrics and Epidemiology within the Faculty of Medicine at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich), where she has been employed since March 2025.

Her academic credentials include:

• Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Bremen (2025)
• Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of Bremen (2022)

Her research centers on post-COVID-19 condition (PCC) with focus on ambulatory care pathways and healthcare utilization patterns. She investigates regional and individual differences in patient experiences through the SOLongCOVID project, operating at the intersection of clinical epidemiology and health policy analysis. This work contributes to understanding systemic responses to emerging public health crises within German healthcare infrastructure.

Her current research activities fall under the SOLongCOVID project framework examining long-term pandemic impacts on healthcare delivery systems.

Prior to her LMU position, she gained research experience as a student assistant at the SOCIUM Research Center on Inequality and Social Policy, University of Bremen (2023-2024).
