Paul Zulli

Professor Paul Zulli serves as Director of the Australian Steel Manufacturing Research Hub at the University of Wollongong within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences and the School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering. With over 30 years of experience in steel manufacturing research and technology development, he leads major collaborative research initiatives focused on sustainable steel production and industry decarbonization.

Professor Zulli's research spans steel manufacturing processes, pyrometallurgy, computational fluid dynamics, and materials engineering. His work emphasizes developing simulation methods and operational systems for complex manufacturing processes in challenging industrial environments. He has made significant contributions to understanding blast furnace operations, slag processing, and the integration of hydrogen technologies in steel production.
