Paul Whittington

Paul Whittington is Lecturer in Assistive Technology at Bournemouth University's Faculty of Science & Technology, where he researches accessibility solutions through the Human Computer Interaction Research Group. He developed the SmartAbility Framework to enhance multimodal interaction for people with reduced physical abilities.

Holds a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (2017) and BSc in Computing (2013) from Bournemouth University. Research focuses on mobile sensing for disability assessment, smart mobility systems, and accessible authentication solutions.

Leads projects including Authentibility Pass (funded by Innovate UK) and EduAbility. Organized the Assistive Living Technologies Symposium and Diversity in Cyber Security workshops.
