Paul Weatherall

Paul Weatherall is Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and member of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Division. His clinical expertise includes MRI of joints, extremities, spine, and musculoskeletal tumors. Education: B.S. in Biology from Southern Methodist University, M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine, radiology residency at Baylor, MRI fellowship at UT Southwestern, and musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at UC-San Diego.

Research focuses on MRI technique development including water-saturated three-dimensional balanced steady-state free precession for abdominal fat quantification. Recent publications include multicenter studies on MRI prediction of breast cancer chemotherapy response. He serves as supervising physician for the American College of Radiology MRI accreditation program at UT Southwestern facilities.

Honors include American College of Radiology Fellowship (2016) and Distinguished Service recognition from Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging where he serves as reviewer.
