Paul Thulin-Jimenez

Paul Thulin-Jimenez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Photography + Film at Virginia Commonwealth University. His artistic practice integrates analog photography, digital montage, appropriation, and alternative materials to interrogate the contextual and material frameworks of history, cultural identity, consumerism, memory, and myth.

His work has been exhibited globally at venues such as United Photo Industries (New York), Grand Prix Fotofestival (Lodz, Poland), Athens Photo Festival (Greece), and Mt. Rokko Photography Festival (Japan). Key awards include the Virginia Commission for the Arts Artist Fellowship and Lensculture Emerging Talent Grant.
