Paul Sanders is an Associate Professor at NEOMA Business School, specializing in Strategy & Entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on leadership ethics, historical analysis of decision-making, and the intersection of geopolitics with business strategy. He has published extensively in Leadership, Journal of Business Ethics, and other journals, with notable works analyzing ethical dilemmas in World War II leadership and contemporary geopolitical conflicts. Sanders previously served as a university history professor, deputy director of an art restitution NGO, and official historian for Jersey. He is a member of the Royal Historical Society (London).
His teaching spans Geopolitics, Leadership Ethics, and Business History. Key research themes include 'dirty hands' theory, grey zones in ethical decision-making, and historical case studies of leadership under extreme pressure. Awards include the Emerald 2013 Outstanding Paper Award for his work on globalization critiques.
