Paul S. Manos

Paul S. Manos is a Professor in the Department of Biology at Duke University, associated with the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on plant systematics, phylogenetics, and evolutionary biology, particularly in Fagaceae (oak family) and Ericaceae. He holds the Jack H. Neely Professorship (2012–2017) and has served as Chair of Biology (2017–2020) and currently as Associate Dean for Faculty Operations.

Research emphasizes woody plant systematics, using molecular data to study phylogenetic relationships and biogeography.
