Paul Parsons is an Associate Professor at Purdue University's School of Applied and Creative Computing. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (2013, University of Western Ontario) with a dissertation on cognitive activity support tools and a BS in Computing & Cognitive Science (2007, Queen's University).
- Research Focus: Human-Centered Design of Interactive Technology, Visualization Interfaces, Design Cognition, and Sociotechnical Systems.
- Labs: Leads the Design, Visualization, & Cognition (DVC) Lab, exploring design thinking in complex domains.
- Collaborations: Involved in NSF-funded Cyberinfrastructure Center of Excellence (SGX3) and NASA-funded Resilient Extra Terrestrial Habitats Institute (RETHi).
- Awards:

- College-Level Undergraduate Teaching Award
- Most Distinguished Faculty Researcher (Student Organization)
- Service: General Co-Chair for EduCHI 2025, Gateways 2025, and Co-Organizer for VisComm 2025.
