Paul N. Runnion

Prof. Paul N. Runnion is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Missouri S&T since August 2011. He holds an M.S. (2007) and B.S. (2005) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri–Rolla (now Missouri S&T). His roles include coordinating Calculus courses (e.g., Calculus III, I-A, I-B, II) and leading the department’s Calculus Redesign initiatives since 2013. He served as Director of Undergraduate Studies from 2017 to 2023 and has been the primary undergraduate advisor since 2017.

His teaching spans undergraduate mathematics courses from Intermediate Algebra to Differential Equations and Foundations of Mathematics. His efforts focus on enhancing curriculum design and student success in STEM education, particularly within calculus frameworks.
