Paul Millin is a Lecturer in Assessment and Clinical Education at Peninsula Medical School, University of Plymouth. He leads the 130-credit Core Competencies module spanning all five years of the medical degree, covering academic writing, critical thinking, social sciences, teamwork, reflection skills, and project management. His educational background includes a BSc (First Class Honors) from Victoria University of Wellington (2013) and an MSc from Cranfield University (1998).
Millin's research focuses on innovative approaches in medical education, particularly in assessment methodologies, teamwork development, educational psychology, and adaptive testing. His work emphasizes student co-creation and behavior change initiatives in medical training.
His recent publications explore medical student attitudes toward collaboration, adaptive testing frameworks, and international progress testing, reflecting a consistent focus on improving educational outcomes through evidence-based approaches.
