Paul Matthews

Dr Paul Matthews is a Senior Lecturer in Information and Data Science at the Faculty of Environment and Technology (FET), Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies, University of the West of England, Bristol. He serves as course lead for the MSc Data Science and MSc IT programs.

His research focuses on digital support for mental health, natural language processing (text mining), and humanities analytics. He also explores information architecture, social web dynamics, and epistemology. Teaching responsibilities include Social Media and Web Science, and the Interdisciplinary Group Project at MSc level.
