Paul L. Vasey is a Professor of Psychology and Board of Governors Research Chair (Tier I) at the University of Lethbridge. He directs the Laboratory of Comparative Sexuality, focusing on cross-species and cross-cultural research in non-conceptive sexuality. His work explores topics such as male bisexuality, inter-sexual mate competition, and androphilia in the Istmo Zapotec community. He has mentored numerous graduate and undergraduate students, including former advisees Dr. Noëlle Gunst, Dr. Jean-Baptiste Leca, and Dr. Doug VanderLaan.
Dr. Vasey teaches courses on Human Sexuality, Evolutionary Psychology, and Socio-Cultural Anthropology. Students consistently praise his engaging teaching style, critical thinking emphasis, and ability to make complex topics accessible. His lectures often incorporate multimedia and real-world examples, fostering lively classroom discussions.
