Paul Kessler Rogers

Dr. Paul Kessler Rogers is an Associate Professor in the Department of Writing Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), and Director of the Ph.D. Emphasis in Writing Studies. He holds a PhD from UCSB's Gevirtz Graduate School of Education (2008) and prior degrees from Humboldt State University. His research focuses on writing pedagogy, social entrepreneurship, educational leadership, and qualitative research methods. He teaches courses in academic writing, professional communication, and social innovation.

He has co-edited eight volumes, including works on James Moffett’s pedagogy, Charles Bazerman’s theories, and global changemaker programs.

Professional Contributions: Rogers has directed the Northern Virginia Writing Project, co-founded the International Society for the Advancement of Writing Research, and leads UCSB's Writing Program.
