Paul Hark is a Research Assistant at the Chair of Finance (Prof. Dr. Schneider) at the University of Münster’s School of Business and Economics. He concurrently serves as a Lecturer in the Executive MBA programs. His academic journey includes a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance/Economics) from the University of Münster and doctoral studies in Finance and Economics at Tilburg University (2022–2023). Earlier, he completed a Bachelor’s in Economics with a focus on Finance and Accounting at Goethe University Frankfurt, with a semester abroad at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
Research interests span Mergers & Acquisitions, Behavioral Corporate Finance, and event-driven market analyses. His 2025 JBE paper explores CAPM-driven M&A misvaluations, while 2024 work analyzes CBDC impacts on banking sectors and AI’s role in financial markets. Notable awards include the 2023 Best Paper Award (2nd prize) and multiple scholarships from institutions like the Schmalenbach Society.
