Dr. Paul Hangsan Ahn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Hope College. His research focuses on organizational communication, group decision-making, persuasive messaging, and the intersection of social neuroscience with creative problem-solving.
- Ph.D. in Communication Science (minor in Quantitative Methods and Social/Affective Neuroscience), University of Wisconsin-Madison (2022)
- B.A. in Chinese Language and International Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (2011)
Dr. Ahn develops the IDEA (Ideas Desire Early Acknowledgement) theory, examining how interpersonal needs influence idea-sharing in organizations. His work integrates experimental methods with qualitative analysis, spanning organizational creativity, reasoning norms, and neurocognitive influences on communication.
