Paul Griffioen

Paul Griffioen is an Assistant Professor in the Engineering Department at Dordt University. His research focuses on data-driven approaches to modeling, analyzing, and designing resilient and secure cyber-physical systems, with additional work in Christian philosophy of education, apologetics, and epistemology.

His research integrates technical work on computational constraints in cyber-physical systems with a distinctly Reformed Christian worldview, emphasizing the non-neutrality of engineering and technology. He teaches courses like 'History of Science and Technology' and 'Technology and Society,' contributing to the Christian Engineering Conference and Society.

At Dordt, he collaborates with his wife Natalie Griffioen, an Instructor of Philosophy, and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley (2022–2024) under Murat Arcak.
