Paul Griffin is an Assistant Professor in Human Geography at Northumbria University, specializing in labour geography, historical activism, and solidarity economies. His research examines agency and resistance through historical case studies including Red Clydeside and the 1981 People's March for Jobs.
Dr. Griffin's work explores spatial politics of unemployment, credit unions as alternative economies, and the role of archives in preserving activist histories. He previously served as BA Geography Programme Leader (2021-2024) and Historical Geography Section Editor for Geography Compass.
