Paul Griesemer

Paul Griesemer is an Associate Professor & Department Chair at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor within the College of Humanities and Sciences. He teaches subjects such as Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Control Systems, and Mechatronics.

• Education: B.S. from Rice University; M.S.E. and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (2009)

Dr. Griesemer joined UMHB in 2011 after consulting for NASA and the Defense Department. His primary research focuses on trajectory planning and control systems optimization for aircraft and spacecraft, including cooperative guidance strategies for quadcopters developed with undergraduate students. A secondary research program explores engineering pedagogy through innovative team-building strategies for undergraduate education, with findings presented at the Teaching Professor national conference.
