Paul Gillingham is a Professor of History and Director of Graduate Studies at Northwestern University’s Department of History within the Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford (2006). His research focuses on politics, culture, and violence in modern Mexico, with particular attention to Latin American and Caribbean History, Political Policy, Legal Systems, and War/Imperial Dynamics.
