معرفی
Prof. Paul Fletcher is the Bernard Wolfe Professor of Health Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge and a Wellcome Trust Investigator. He holds fellowships at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Clare College Cambridge, and the Academy of Medical Sciences. Trained in medicine and with a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, his work bridges clinical psychiatry and neuroscience.
His research focuses on psychosis, schizophrenia, and learning mechanisms, employing neuroimaging, pharmacological challenges, and behavioral studies. Central themes include how the brain minimizes uncertainty through prediction and association, and the conflict between automatic and reflective processes shaping decision-making. Clinical interests include Huntington’s Disease and psychosis.
Key publications explore food addiction’s validity (2013), behavioral change strategies targeting automatic processes (2012), and schizophrenia’s neural underpinnings (e.g., 1998, 1999 studies).
