معرفی
Paul Drake is a Research Fellow at the School of Biological Sciences, The University of Western Australia. His research focuses on plant physiology, particularly leaf morphology, hydraulic conductivity, and gas exchange mechanisms in diverse environments. He investigates how plants adapt to arid habitats and optimize resource allocation through leaf venation patterns and stomatal distribution.
Key projects include the 'Lemontree collaboration Utrecht' (2022–2025), exploring plant growth and environmental adaptations. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.
Drake has published extensively on topics like fractal geometry in plant structures and water transport dynamics. His datasets, such as studies on leaf area-to-sapwood ratios, are publicly accessible via Dryad and Zenodo. He has supervised one student and collaborated on multiple peer-reviewed articles, earning recognition through citations and Mendeley readership.
