Dr. Paul Crosby is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Macquarie University, affiliated with Macquarie Business School. His research focuses on applied microeconomics, digitisation, cultural industries, social media, and consumer behavior, with notable contributions to understanding AI's impact on media and publishing. He holds a PhD in Economics (2018) and a BEc (First Class Honours) from Macquarie University (2014).
Research interests span digital disruption in cultural sectors, carbon emission policies in travel, and author compensation in the digital age. Recent projects include the Australian Literary Heritage Project and studies on generative AI in film and publishing.
