Paul Christianson

Paul Christianson is a Professor of Music in the School of Music and Worship Arts at Trevecca Nazarene University, where he has taught since 1993. His academic credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Georgia, a Master of Music from the University of Idaho, and a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts from Trevecca Nazarene University and Northwest Nazarene University, respectively.

Christianson’s research and creative work includes composing, highlighted by the publication of his original composition Nocturne in College Musician Magazine (1988). His compositions reflect a blend of classical and contemporary influences.

Notable accolades include Trevecca’s Teaching Excellence Award, the Idaho MTNA-Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist Competition award, and finalist recognition in the Pro-Mozart Society of Atlanta’s scholarship competition.
