Dr. Jones specializes in pediatric health psychology with dual expertise in psychometrics and psychological assessment. His research centers on preventing and managing chronic health conditions in children through behavioral interventions, treatment adherence strategies, and psychosocial support systems. He investigates how chronic illness impacts academic achievement and socioemotional development in schools, emphasizing culturally responsive practices and addressing racial disparities in healthcare access and educational outcomes for vulnerable populations.
His 2020-2024 publications reveal consistent focus on school-based interventions for chronic conditions, with growing emphasis on racial equity in sickle cell disease management and cross-cultural adaptation of assessment tools.
