Paul Babelay is an Instructor in the Percussion Department at Mars Hill University, where he teaches drum set and vibraphone. He holds a Master of Music (M.M.) in orchestral percussion from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in percussion performance from Mars Hill University. His career spans over 25 years as a professional musician, encompassing performances across the U.S., Germany, Wales, Turkey, and Greece. He has collaborated with notable artists like comedians Don Rickles and Martin Short, Contemporary Christian vocalist Darlene Zschech, and R&B legend Chaka Khan.
Babelay is a sought-after clinician, having taught thousands of students through programs with the North & South Carolina Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, and North Carolina Touring Roster. He performs regularly at the Flat Rock Playhouse (State Theatre of North Carolina) and serves as drummer/keyboardist at Biltmore Church.
