Paul A. Gowder

Paul A. Gowder is a Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law since 2020. His research spans the rule of law, democratic theory, social and racial equality, institutional governance, and law and technology.

Education

• BA from California State University
• JD from Harvard University
• PhD in Political Science from Stanford University

His work integrates political philosophy, legal theory, and technology to address systemic inequalities and modern governance challenges. Recent publications focus on democratizing internet platforms and reinterpreting constitutional ideals through Black liberation movements.
