Patrícia Pinto

Patrícia Pinto is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Algarve, where she has taught quantitative methods and research methodology since 1993. She currently serves as Pro-Rector for the European University of the SEAS alliance and coordinates the Research Centre for Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being (CinTurs). Her academic credentials include a PhD (2004) and Habilitation (2013) in Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics and Management.

Her research examines tourism sustainability, resident-tourist dynamics, and well-being economics, employing advanced statistical models. Key interests include destination image formation, behavioral tourism analytics, and community empowerment frameworks. Recent work explores post-pandemic tourism resilience and Generation Z travel psychology.

Publications show strong emphasis on empirical tourism studies, with 2023-2025 articles analyzing eudaimonic well-being in travel, value co-creation in hospitality, and resident empowerment metrics.
