معرفی
Patrycja Baraniecka is a postdoctoral researcher specializing in plant metabolism and molecular ecology. Currently affiliated with the Department of Biology at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (since June 2024), she has previously worked at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology (2019-2024) and the John Innes Centre (2011-2015). Her academic rank is Researcher, and she holds a PhD in Plant Metabolism from the John Innes Centre (completed 2015) and a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (2010).
Research Interests:
- Plant sulfur and selenium assimilation
- Enzyme isoform functional diversity
- Molecular ecology of plant-pathogen interactions
- Prezygotic mate selection in plants
- Genetic basis of nutrient use efficiency
- Metabolic pathway regulation in Arabidopsis
Publication Trends: Her research output spans plant physiology, biochemistry, and evolutionary biology, with recent work focusing on genetic resistance mechanisms in field plant populations (2024) and mate selection impacts on progeny fitness (2023-2024). Earlier publications (2012-2014) concentrated on sulfur metabolism enzymology and nutrient use efficiency, particularly in Arabidopsis species.
